Kobe Bryant’s last Game and Retires

Kobe Bryant played for 20 years, his entire career, for the Los Angeles Lakers. He is named the youngest player in NBA history to achieve 30,000 career points. In one game alone, he scored more than 60 points and in another he scored more than 80 points. He is also recognized as the all-time leading scorer in the Lakers’ history. As a member to the U.S. national team, he won gold medals in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.

Bryant said that he has faced many ups and downs in his career; there were challenges, falls, crisis moments and many dark moments in his life, but nothing has lessened his passion for basketball. He returned to play in the 2013-2014 season after recuperating from a torn Achilles heel and then missed 19 games in that season due to a knee fracture.

In his 18th year with the Lakers, he signed a two-year contract extension that would extend his playing with the Lakers to 20 years; he would be the first NBA player in history to play 20 years for the same team. That 2-year contract was estimated to be worth $32 million per year and ensured his standing as the highest-paid player in the league.
